Terms and Conditions

Arrival & Departure

Guests are welcome to arrive anytime after 2pm on the day of arrival and must depart before 11am on the day of departure: Unless otherwise agreed with the owner.

Prices

Prices include full use of all facilities at the bunkhouse. Owners receiver the right to offer varied pricing depending on the group. Prices will always be confirmed at the point of booking.

Sole occupancy bookings are available and must be made clear at the time of booking. Prices vary for sole occupancy depending on numbers, but will always cost a minimum of £150.

A bond may be taken on arrival depending on the type of party that is booked. Guests will receive the full bond back on departure provided the bunkhouse is left in a reasonable state, clean, tidy with no major breakages. If the bunkhouse is left in an unsatisfactory state the owner reserves the right to withhold some or all of the bond.

Grounds & Restrictions

The woods behind the bunkhouse are STRICTLY out of bounds. Our insurances do not cover this area and the ground can be dangerous in parts, we cannot accept any responsibility for injury beyond the wooden fence clearly surrounding the bunkhouse.

Guests are asked to kindly not use the fire exit unless in the case of an emergency. Guests are welcome to use the full car park area, the grassy seating area to the front of the bunkhouse and the bunkhouse itself in its entirety.

Anyone found to be disobeying these requests may be asked to leave with immediate effect.

Booking payments

You may be asked to pay for your stay at the point of booking, this can be paid via BACs and the booking is only confirmed once this is paid.

Usually payments will only be taken at the point of booking when the booking is for a large party. This will be a non-refundable deposit for a certain percentage of the entire stay.

Invoices can be supplied on request.

Please note: the booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been paid.

Cancellation

All deposits taken are non-refundable.

Should you need to cancel a booking and you have not paid a deposit the owner asks that you give as much notice as is possible so they can re-fill the beds.

Age restrictions & Occupancy

Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who shall be responsible for them. Groups and families are required to have suitable numbers of adults to ensure the good conduct and safety of party members and other guests. All decisions in this regard are at the discretion of the Bunkhouse staff.

Responsible adults are required to familiarise themselves with safety and emergency issues and actively consider the risks associated with hazards, including bunk beds, kitchen equipment and road traffic. Parents or guardians of young children are advised that persons under 7 years are recommended to not occupy upper bunks.

Admissions & Eviction

Only those persons listed on the booking form may occupy the accommodation. We reserve the right to terminate the booking, without refund, to vary or re-allocate the accommodation if this condition is breached or where all material facts are not disclosed. Beds may not be sub-let.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone who, in the opinion of our staff, is not fit to take charge of the property or be in the company of other guests. In any such case the contract will be terminated without further liability.

We also reserve the right to terminate the Contract at any time or remove any person or persons (or persons being responsible for others), due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to property or causing or likely to cause injury, annoyance or offence to other guests. Any refund will be entirely at the discretion of The Joiner’s Shop Bunkhouse.

Our staff also has the right to enter any room at any time as occasion may demand, to ensure that cleanliness is preserved and routine maintenance may be carried out.

Smoking

There is strictly no smoking inside any part of the bunkhouse, smoking is ONLY allowed out the front of the bunkhouse.

Guests are reminded to familiarise themselves with the fire exits and locations of the fire extinguishers.

Smokers are kindly asked to dispose of their cigarette ends in a reasonable and responsible manner.

Anyone caught or thought to be smoking in the premises could be subject to a £50 cleaning fee.

Personal Belongings

We will not be held responsible for the loss or damage to personal property of guests occupying the accommodation. All property, vehicles, their contents and personal effects are on the premises and car park entirely at your own risk.

Accidents

All persons have a ‘duty of care’ for others, so if you see something potentially dangerous, don’t ignore it – but do something about it and tell a member of staff. Any accident must be reported to reception.

Pets

Dogs are welcome at the bunkhouse, you must inform the owner you are bringing a dog and their attendance is strictly at the discretion of the owner.

Dogs should be kept on a lead in the grounds around the bunkhouse, there is no gate at the front and it is a fairly busy and windy road.

Noise & Disturbance

We ask you to be considerate of others and if told to keep the noise down we ask that you do so immediately.

Availability

The booking is made on the understanding that we will make the accommodation and amenities available to you on the dates stated. Should this not be possible for reasons within our due care we will endeavour to provide you with alternative dates or refund of your monies, but you will have no other claim or remedy against us.
